Entrepreneurs are becoming more and more involved in the development of industry education by declaring help in organizing student internships, substantive as well as financial support – everything in black and white, without hot potato situation. 6

The situation is good, but challenges are growing. In 2018 the Polish furniture industry reached the level of sold value of 48.1 billion PLN which confirms the previously forecast record and an increase of 6.4% compared to 2017. In 2017, production sold according to the Statistics Poland data was 45.2 billion PLN (6.1% YOY). The B+R Studio estimates that the value of sold production will amount to about 50.5 billion PLN (5.0% YOY) in 2019. 16
Higher expectations, greater joy. Edyta Świątek, sales director and Hubert Świątek, general director of Lech Modern Fabrics, speak about the company's values cultivated for 40 years of the company's existence, the growing boldness of customers in choosing the colours of furniture fabrics, the importance of the Polish market and new perspectives. 20
Record past, stable future. The year 2017 was record-breaking for the Polish furniture industry in terms of revenues. However, the return on assets and sales as well as the return on equity were reduced. Nevertheless, the indicators assessing liquidity to settle liabilities have improved – both general debt ratio and current liquidity ratio – which may foreshadow the upcoming stabilization of the industry. 24

Good life. This year's Łódź Design Festival emphasized aspects of a good life, such as relationships between man and the environment. Thinking of ecology, craft and emotions. 58
Here and now. Passion and constant need for development led Joanna Sieradzan to create the Svarog Furniture brand in 2015 and in this year also ReFine Furniture. Both brands had their international debuts in Milan. Joanna is looking for inspiration, among others, in Slavic culture. She creates responsible projects, pointing out that the use and minimization of waste in industry is an extremely important issue. 60

We celebrated! 'Friends Party' – that was the theme of the celebration of the 100th edition of the monthly 'BIZNES meble.pl'. The party was held at the Garden City complex within MTP Poznań Expo on March 13. The report from this event could be summed up in three words: 'big time party'… 70
